The Central Florida Expressway Authority will hold a public meeting for the Poinciana Parkway Project Development and Environmental (PD&E) Study at Poinciana High School Thursday, Aug. 29, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The study is looking at the parkway from its northern endpoint to County Road 532 at the Osceola County/Polk County line.
Here are two youth sport options that Poinciana youth may want to take a “swing” at for some “kicks”.Youths from age 5 through high school age can learn to play tennis or improve their game at no charge at Vance Harmon Park weekly on Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m.

Build Your Brain and Body is a new program coming to the Poinciana Branch Library on Friday mornings beginning Sept. 8, from 10 to 11 a.m. Adults can exercise their mind and body in a class that combines interactive group discussions and fun exercises sessions. This program is for everybody that has a passion for living a healthy and informed lifestyle. This series is presented by the University of Florida/IFAS Extension in Osceola County.
Acrylic painting for adults takes place every Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the library. Flex your creative muscle in this instructive and fun class. All supplies are included except the canvas.
