Man sought for stealing more than $20,000 in jewelry from pawn shop

Osceola County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who stole more than $20,000 in jewelry from a pawnshop on Sept. 26.

At approximately 2:43 p.m., a black male entered the Value Pawn located at 4770 W. U.S. Highway 192 in Kissimmee. He was wearing a red hooded Florida State Seminoles sweatshirt with the hood over his head and black pants on.

According to a Sheriff’s Office report, the suspect walked around the store for several minutes before walking to the glass jewelry case and taking a hammer out of his backpack. He then used the hammer to smash the jewelry case and removed approximately $20,500 dollars in jewelry, the report stated. The male ran across the street where witnesses observed him getting into the passenger seat of a white unknown sedan.
