Man charged with first-degree murder in July 5 shooting

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has charged a man with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a victim on July 5.

Darrion Ford has been accused of killing Harold Jones III.

On July 5, Sheriff’s Office’s deputies responded to a report of shots fired at the Sonoma Pointe Apartments in Kissimmee.

At the scene, deputies located Jones in front of a Santa Rosa Drive home. He had been shot several times, according to a Sheriff’s Office report. Jones was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Eyewitnesses on scene gave a description of the possible suspect and suspect’s vehicle. During the investigation, the vehicle and two suspects, Ford and Raekwon Thomas, were identified.

On July 24, both suspects were located and arrested. Ford was charged with first-degree murder, while Thomas was charged with accessory after the fact in a capital felony. Ford cooperated with detectives in the investigation, however, Raekwon did not, the report stated. Both are being held on no bond at the Osceola County Jail.
