3 Kissimmee residents killed in Poinciana crash on Tuesday

A Kissimmee resident speeding in Poinciana on Tuesday caused a head-on crash that killed three people, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident began about 7:15 p.m., when a Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputy saw a red Nissan 350Z driven by Emmanuel Lashawn Macedo Semedo, 19, of 197 Big Black Drive, Kissimmee, speeding on Marigold Avenue, near the entrance to Solivita, in unincorporated Polk.

The deputy went to pursue the Nissan, but when he rounded a curve on Marigold, he discovered the crash had already occurred.

Preliminary information showed that that Semedo crossed over the double yellow line into the oncoming lane and hit a white Nissan Sentra head-on being driven by Johana Martinez Rodriguez, 45, of 4781 Rockvale Drive, Kissimmee. The crash caused the Sentra to propel into the air and land in a ditch, a Polk Sheriff’s Office report stated.

The crash killed Semedo, Rodriguez and her passenger, Ramon Antonio De Jesus Cintron, 43, who lived at the same address.

Anyone who witnessed anything in this area related to the crash are asked to contact the Polk

County Sheriff's Office at 863-298-6200.

The crash remains under investigation.
