Kissimmee man arrested by FDLE on child pornography charges

Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents on April 18 arrested Mario Ortega, 38, of 106 Poinciana Circle, Kissimmee, on 10 counts of child pornography possession.

In March, agents received a tip that video suspected of depicting child pornography had been uploaded to a website. Investigators determined the video was uploaded from a computer associated with Ortega. A search warrant was obtained. During an on-scene examination of digital devices, agents found evidence of child pornography. The devices were seized for further analysis.

Ortega was taken to the Osceola County Jail on a $50,000 bond. The State Attorney’s Office, 9th Judicial Circuit, will prosecute the case.
