A soccer coach arrested last week in Osceola County for inappropriately touching a young player has been charged again after another parent came forward.
On Aug. 15, Hugo Daniel Jimenez- Rumbos, 22, confessed to five counts of lewd and lascivious molestation on a victim under 12 years of age and one count of lewd and lascivious conduct, according to an Osceola County Sheriff’s Office report.
But on Aug. 16, another parent came forward to report of that Jimenez-Rumbos touched her child without permission. On Thursday, Aug. 22, detectives made contact with the suspect at the Osceola County Jail and added a charge of battery. He is currently in jail with no bond.
The case stemmed back to July 16, when Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report of lewd and lascivious molestation on a victim under 12 years of age. However, it was later discovered that the alleged offense occurred in Osceola County.
The mother of the 9-year-old boy reported that a soccer coach, Jimenez- Rumbos, had inappropriately touched her child on the way to a soccer practice and during an exercise, according to the report.
Detectives believe there could be additional victims and are continuing to investigate this case.
