The Florida Highway Patrol has arrested a man after he fled from a crash that killed his wife on Sunday.
Kabir Ramnarine, 26, of Kissimmee, was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of a fatal crash and driving while his license was revoked.
He fled from the crash scene in Kissimmee that killed his wife, Ashley Ramnarine, also 26, on Sunday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Kabir was driving a 2019 Toyota vehicle northbound on San Lorenzo Road at about 3:30 a.m.
For an unknown reason, he lost control of the car and left the roadway. The car then hit a sign and the right side of the car hit a tree, killing Ashley. Kabir then fled on foot. Kabir and Ashley were husband and wife, according to FHP. He was not injured, troopers said.
With the help of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Kabir was found at the Apollo Inn, 670 E. Vine Street in Kissimmee.
