The 13th Annual Hispanic Heritage and Health Fair will be Sunday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m. at Vance Harmon Park, 625 Country Club Drive. Admission is free.
Bring your lawn chairs and plan on staying a while. This annual Poinciana event features live music. Featured musicians are Moncho Rivera, Rafael Rios, Rsfy Nieves, Jose Reyes, Veronica, El Concepto and Pito Reracho with La Orqusera Del Pueblo.
Vendor booths will surround the festival site including health and wellness booths, community groups and different food and drink booths as well.
Presented by Promociones Cultura Y Herencia Hispana, this event is sponsored in part by Al’s Pizza, KUA, Osceola County, IMA, E-Land, Orlando Foot and Ankle Clinic, Association of Poinciana Villages, Access Community Center and Poinciana Medical Center. This ever-popular event is family-friendly.

Cub Scout Pack 844 Poinciana has something spooky up their sleeves. Halloween Haunted House will be at 701 Green Court on specific days and times. The “House” is open on Saturdays, Oct. 19 and 26, from 8 to 11 p.m., and on Halloween, Oct. 31, from 6 to 10 p.m. Donations will gladly be accepted
The Halloween countdown has begun! Be sure to include the Poinciana Branch Library in your families’ agenda.
Mother Goose Not-So Spooky Storytime will be Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. This program is for children 4 years old and younger. Children are invited in for a Halloween not-so-spooky story time. Children can dress in costume and receive a special treat.
Children and their families are invited to Where the Wild Things Are Costume Bash on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 4 to 6 p.m. Roar your terrible roar and gnash your terrible teeth in this celebration of wild things! Have fun with activities, face painting and snacks. Costumes, jammies or monstrous ensembles are the encouraged dress.
Spooky Game Night (age group teen and adult) will be Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. Test your skills playing Halloween Bingo, Pictionary and Plate Drawing.
All library programs are free and open to the public. The Poinciana Branch Library is located at 101 N. Doverplum Ave.
