Fort Pierce man killed in U.S. 192 crash

A Fort Pierce man, whose vehicle was possibly disabled on U.S. Highway 192, was hit and killed by a semi-truck early Thursday morning.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, a 2002 Hyundai that Mathew Greenberg, 29, was driving, was stopped partially in the outside lane of eastbound U.S. 192. The car appeared to be disabled and Greenberg was outside of the vehicle, troopers said.

A 2004 semi truck driven by Oren Windross, 39, of Margate, was driving eastbound on the highway in the outside then when it hit both the Hyundai and Greenberg, the report stated. Greenberg was pronounced dead on scene.
