An Osceola County substitute teacher arrested for molesting a student in February is now facing a total of nine criminal charges.
Fnu Syedyaseen-Asher, 19, was originally arrested on Feb. 28 after Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report of lewd and lascivious molestation on a victim under 12 at Boggy Creek Elementary School.
Sheriff’s Office detectives along with the assistance of the Child Protective Team (CPT), and the Osceola County School District, conducted a complete investigation where they contacted every student of every school where Syedyaseen-Asher worked as a substitute teacher.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives discovered nine total female victims between the ages of 6-8 years old, that Syedyaseen-Asher molested, according to a Sheriff’s Office report.
The schools included Boggy Creek Elementary, Ventura Elementary and Pleasant Hill Elementary.
Syedyaseen-Asher committed the crimes by molesting the children near the teacher’s desk area, while he simultaneously distracted the victims by going over classwork, Sheriff’s Office officials said.
Sheriff’s Office officials are asking anyone with information concerning the case to call the agency at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-8477, where information leading to a felony arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
