Fireworks Spectacular set for June 29

Fireworks Spectacular 2019 is set to illuminate Poinciana in an early Independence Day celebration on Saturday, June 29, from 6 to 10 p.m.

The festivities include live music, food trucks, bounce houses, vendors, face painting, balloon artists and more.  

Live entertainment includes Angel Lopez, LaCalle, El Principe del Timbal y su Orquesta. Emcee Carol Saraqusa will keep the show on track.

The evening ends with a bang courtesy of Pyrotechnico. Bring a chair or blanket to comfortably enjoy this event.  

Fireworks Spectacular 2019 will be held at the Vance Harmon Amphitheater, 625 Country Club Drive.

 Liberty High School 9th Grade Orientation was held on Tuesday.

In case your incoming 9th grader missed it, there will be another Thursday, July 18, at 10:30 a.m. to noon or 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Students can become familiar with the school and parents can create their Parent Portal.

The orientation will feature break-out sessions, school tour and scavenger hunt. Liberty High School is located at 4250 Pleasant Hill Road.

 Poinciana Medical Center, 325 Cypress Parkway, will host a job fair today.

 Out of this World Entertainment: Super Cool Science Dude is a fun-filled, edge–of-your-seat science spectacular where kids can grow in the learning process. Budding scientists investigate scientific principles, formulate hypotheses and come to the conclusion that science is amazing. This Summer Reading Club Family Event will be held today from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Poinciana Branch Library.

WUCF, Central Florida’s PBS station, will present a special Kidstime event at the Poinciana Branch Library on Wednesday, June 26, at 10 a.m. Learn and explore with PBS characters in this special story time followed by a craft.

All library programs are free and open to the public. The Poinciana Branch Library is located at 101 N. Doverplum Ave.
