A Boggy Creek Elementary School substitute teacher was arrested after he was accused of molesting a student.
On Feb. 28, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report of lewd and lascivious molestation on a victim under 12. The victim’s mother reported that the incident occurred at Boggy Creek Elementary School and the suspect was a substitute teacher, later identified as Fnu Syedyaseen-Asher. The victim was interviewed by the Child Protective Team, where she provided detailed information of the incident. Based on the information provided by the victim, detectives made contact with Fnu Syedyaseen-Asher where he confessed to the crime, according to a Sheriff's Office report. Fnu Syedyaseen-Asher was arrested and charged with three counts of lewd and lascivious molestation on a victim under 12 years of age and he was later transported to the Osceola County Jail. Detectives responded to the school and interviewed other students in attempt to locate additional victims and possible witnesses. No other victims were identified, but this investigation continues. Sheriff’s Office officials are asking anyone with information concerning the case to call the agency at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 1- 800-423-8477, where information leading to a felony arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
