Education Foundation awards graduating seniors scholarships

The Education Foundation~Osceola County's annual scholarship awards ceremony was held at Osceola Heritage Park on April 24.

The Education Foundation~Osceola County celebrated the academic success of graduating seniors during their annual scholarship awards ceremony on April 24.

The Foundation awarded 343 students with scholarship funds totaling over $600,000.  Scholarship funds are raised by the foundation annually through their Larry Godwin Memorial Scholarships for Kids Golf Classic, which will be held on Nov. 15 at Royal St. Cloud Golf Links. Over 72 community partners join with the Education Foundation to provide scholarship funds for deserving students.

“This is our favorite event of the year”, said Kerry Avery, executive director of the Education Foundation. “After working hard all year, seniors are rewarded with funds to help them pursue their post-secondary plan and make their dreams come true.”
