The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to solve a suspicious case where youngsters were targeted.
The incident occurred on Monday at about 3:15 p.m.
Sheriff’s Office’s deputies responded to the Bridge Prep Academy of Osceola, 4851 Koa St. in Poinciana, after receiving a report about a suspicious person. Deputies made contact with two male juveniles, ages 12 and 13, who said while standing by the school-designated bicycle rack, a black four-door sedan approached them with its windows rolled down.
They said a white male driver and a black female passenger were inside the vehicle. The female asked the juveniles to get closer to the vehicle and she would offer them candy, which she had in her hands, a Sheriff’s Office report stated. The juveniles denied the offer and kept on walking. The unknown couple in the car then left the area without further contact, and were last seen driving westbound on Koa Street.
The driver was described as a white male in his early 20s, wearing a white shirt.
The black female passenger was in her early 20s, medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair, the report stated. It is unknown what she was wearing. The vehicle was an older model Toyota Camry with stock rims. Deputies are asking for help in identifying these individuals.
