Deputies arrest man wanted in the armed robberies of two local businesses

Osceola deputies arrested a suspect wanted in the armed robbery of two local businesses.

Benny Maxwell Edens, 45, was arrested and charged with armed robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault, and petit theft.

On Aug. 7, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Dunkin Donuts, 2385 N. Orange Blossom Trail, Kissimmee.

Then, on Aug. 8, there was another report of an armed robbery to the Mobile on the Run in Buenaventura Lakes, 1979 E. Osceola Parkway, Kissimmee.

According to a Sheriff's Office report, detectives were able to obtain video surveillance from both businesses and discovered that the suspect in both robberies was Edens.. He was arrested in Orlando, but he refused to cooperate with the investigation. Currently, Edens is in the Orange County Jail awaiting extradition to Osceola County.
