Deputies arrest man for burglary, grand theft

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for armed burglary after he was caught on surveillance stealing items inside a victim’s home.

Anthony Sanchez-Rosa, 35, was additionally charged with for resisting without violence, grand theft and grand theft of a firearm.

According to a Sheriff’s Office report, deputies responded to a home off of North Goodman Road in response to a burglary at about 7:28 p.m. The victim said he returned home and found his home was burglarized with numerous items stolen. The victim had a home surveillance system, and when he checked it, he saw a Hispanic male wearing work utility clothing inside his home.On Thursday, a resident who saw a news story about the crime, contacted the Sheriff’s Office and identified him as Sanchez-Rosa. Detectives obtained a warrant for the arrest of Sanchez-Rosa and went to his job. When they approached Sanchez-Rosa, he attempted to flee on foot, but was apprehended. Sanchez-Rosa did not cooperate with the Sheriff’s Office and was booked into Orange County Jail. He is being held on an $18,000 bond
