A Davenport man driving a dump truck was killed on Monday after the vehicle hit a guardrail on Interstate 4 inside Osceola County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 55-year-old man was driving the 2006 dump truck westbound on I-4 at about 6:15 a.m. For an unknown reason, the driver then traveled toward the median and the left side of the truck hit a guardrail, FHP officials said. The driver, who was not identified pending notification of kin, was found outside of the truck and pronounced dead on scene. It was unknown if he was wearing his seat belt. The crash remains under investigation.
