A suspect who tried to rob an Osceola County bank was arrested on Wednesday after leaving his cell phone behind during a different robbery.

On May 11, just after 5 p.m., a white male, later identified as Peter Gonzalez, came into the Bank of America located at 2000 E. Osceola Parkway in Kissimmee. He passed a note to the clerk demanding money, however, the fast thinking clerk was able to activate the bank’s robbery protocols and notify the authorities, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office officials said. Gonzalez fled without obtaining any money.

On Wednesday, Gonzalez, was arrested at his home after left his cell phone at another bank robbery in Hillsborough County. An investigation into the device showed Gonzalez matched the surveillance images from all previous robberies.
