County to declare state of emergency due to Hurricane Dorian

Here's the 2 p.m. update of Hurricane Dorian's projected path.

Osceola County will declare a state of emergency at 3 p.m. today in County Commission Chambers since the formation of Hurricane Dorian Wednesday afternoon.

 The storm became a hurricane near the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, according to the National Hurricane Center. Dorian is also threatening Puerto Rico.

The forecasting center – part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration – also issued advisories on Tropical Depression Erin, located a couple of hundred miles southeast of Cape Hatteras, NC.
