Construction has begun on a new $20 million multiple-family apartment development in Kissimmee
The Hamilton at Lakeside, which will be situated on seven acres on the west side of John Young Parkway, will feature 60 one-bedroom and 48 two-bedroom “energy-friendly” apartments with nine foot ceilings, vinyl plank flooring, ceramic tile bathrooms, a private washer and dryer and granite countertops with state-of-the-art “smart home” amenities, according to a company press release.
The United Group of Companies, Inc. (United Group) announced the construction loan for the $20 million project closed last week. Construction has begun on the community.
“We’ve appreciated the full support from the city of Kissimmee throughout the entire approval process for the Hamilton at Lakeside, and we’re looking forward to offering a unique and dynamic ‘energy-friendly’ product to a growing market where Class A market-rate apartments are in high demand,” said Michael Uccellini, United Group’s president and CEO.
The market-rate community will also feature a 5,000 square foot clubhouse with a lounge, game center, coffee and breakfast bar, fitness center, multipurpose aerobics and yoga room, a sauna, a resort-style pool and hot tub, an outdoor kitchen and a pavilion.
Surrounding the clubhouse will feature a multipurpose sports court, seating areas with fire pits and barbecue grills, as well as several sidewalks with a connection to public bicycle paths.
United Plus Properties Management, AMO will manage The Hamilton at Lakeside. The Troy, NY-based company also manages The Gables at Lakeside, a 208 one-and-two bedroom apartment community located adjacent to The Hamilton at Lakeside. The project’s lender is Greystone, Inc., the general contractor is Gates Construction and the architect is Geheber Lewis Associates.
Hason, Walter and Associates are the civil engineers, and Kathy Andrews Interiors is the interior designer.
The community’s first occupants are expected in November 2019, and the leasing office phone number is 407-726-0004.
