City celebrates the opening of Kissimmee Lakefront Park Phase IV

Kissimmee city commissioners and other city officials participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony today to celebrate the opening of Kissimmee Lakefront Park Phase IV.

The city of Kissimmee held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today for the opening of Kissimmee Lakefront Park Phase IV. The recently completed final phase of the Kissimmee Lakefront Park Redevelopment Project runs along Lakeshore Boulevard and connects Kissimmee Lakefront Park to Neptune Road. Phase IV created a more substantial, linear park space between the roadway and the lake to allow for additional green space, new park benches, and larger pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, city officials said. Lakeshore Boulevard is now a brick road that received drainage improvements, landscaping and LED lighting. This project also included the installation of a traffic signal at Neptune Road and Lakeshore Boulevard, as well as enhancements to both North and South Brinson Parks.
