Charges pending against Kissimmee woman for causing fatal crash

Charges are pending a Kissimmee woman after she allegedly caused a fatal crash in Osceola County on Sunday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Blanche Munoz, 48, was stopped on Greenwald Way at the intersection of Centerview Boulevard in a 2015 Hyundai Elantra at about 9:50 p.m. Karol Patino-Narajo, 17, of Kissimmee, was driving a 2004 Toyota Camry westbound on Centerview Boulevard, approaching Greenwald Way, when Munoz entered the intersection and into the direct path of the Camry, a Florida Highway Patrol report stated. The Elantra slammed into the right side of the Camry, where passenger, Fransico Naranjo, 87, was sitting. He was taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Both Munoz and Patino-Naranjo suffered minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending against Munoz, the report stated.
