Calling all “Trunkers.” The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV)’s annual Trunk of Treat will be on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Activities Center Parking Lot, 445 Marigold Ave.
Volunteer Trunkers, in their Halloween-themed vehicles, will distribute goodies to the little boos and ghouls. Last year, over 1,000 children attended.

The AARP Driver Safety Program’s Smart Driver helps participants hone their driving skills and establish safe driving habits.
Upon completion of this course, Florida drivers 55 and older may be eligible for insurance discounts.
The Smart Driver class will be offered at Poinciana Medical Center, 325 Cypress Parkway, on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Poinciana Branch Library will hold a Crafter’s Fair on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Visit with local crafters and view an assortment of hand-made items available for purchase.
Florida Native Plants is the program, which will be presented on Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 10 to 11 a.m. Learn how to beautify your home (just in time for the Poinciana Beautiful Event!) and help Florida’s delicate ecosystem by planting native plants.
This event will be presented by Eleanor Foerste from the University of Florida in partnership with the Florida Native Plant Society, Pine Lily Chapter.

The 13th Annual Hispanic Heritage and Health Fair will be Sunday, Oct. 20, at Vance Harmon Park, 625 Country Club Drive. This popular and well-attended event features live music, food and health care services.

PoincianaFest ’19 will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, at Valencia College, Poinciana Campus, 3255 Pleasant Hill Road.
This event, presented by the Poinciana Area Council (PAC), is a family fun festival with entertainment, activities and vendors.
