Fun and food at Kissimmee Fly-In

Thousands of people passed through Kissimmee Gateway Airport Saturday -- even though they weren't going anywhere.

The annual Kissimmee Fly-In gave folks the chance to check out up-close and tour a variety of planes, including flight training aircraft and United Airlines commercial jet. A local helicopter service offered pair rides over the city of Kissmmee, and a Russian mig even made a pair of low-altitude passes that crackled the air with its high-velocity vapor trail! In partnership with the Latino Pilots Association, attendees also got to learn about career opportunities int he aviation industry at airport-based business and organizations.

After seeing the airborne sights, it was time for some land-based food, with a number of food trucks offering domestic and international cuisine, full meals, snacks and desserts like doughnuts
