Osceola Arts starts the holiday season in good form with that classic Christmas tale, Scrooge the Musical.

Based on the Charles Dicken’s story. A Christmas Carol, Scrooge the Musical follows the journey of Scrooge as he finds redemption after being visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future.

It features a cast of 40 men, women, and children of all ages.

Scrooge the Musical will premiere on Friday, Dec. 1 and run through Sunday, Dec. 17. Showtimes include Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m. and an additional 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, Dec. 16. Adult tickets are $22 with senior and student rates available.

The title role will be played by Broadway alum Brian Minyard.

His career includes the closing cast of Broadway’s Annie Get Your Gun, original cast recordings for the 2004 award-winning Johnny Guitar and The Prince and the Pauper.

“This production team, led by director Frank Siano, is a delight and the cast will be performing alongside Broadway veteran Brian Minyard as Ebenezer Scrooge,” said Artistic Director Garrett Sanders.

“These talented individuals have been working hard to make this holiday season one for our audiences to remember,”

he said.
