Lip Sync battle set for Friday at Gaylord Palms

Osceola Arts is hosting its fourth annual Lip Sync Battle on Friday at Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee (6000 W. Osceola Parkway).

The fundraiser is the organization’s largest annual event, and raises funds for all of the programming that Osceola Arts brings to the county each year.

How it works:

The participating teams are competing for two different awards: Top Team and Judges Choice. The teams are made up of government officials, law enforcement officers and local business and community leaders.

All of the teams have been rehearsing for several weeks to come up with their own lip sync numbers, choreograph and costuming. The final performance is expected to be finalized with back-up dancers, sets and props.

“This year we have six teams participating including commissioners, sheriff’s officers, and more,” said Osceola Arts Director of Marketing and Theater Operations Bri Stefek. “All six teams have been putting in lots of rehearsal time and they are going to be stellar.”

Throughout the rehearsal and through Friday’s big performance, each team is raising money to take the name of “Top Team.” The Top Team award is given to the team that raises the most money in donations (including table sponsorships and event night donations). All online fundraising should be done in advance through

The Top Team winner — as well as the Judges Choice winner — will be announced during the Lip Sync Battle event, hosted by Osceola Arts. Arrangements for this event are still available, and must be purchased in advance. Guests of this event receive dinner, drinks and complimentary parking included in their admission. Cocktail attire is preferred and attendees should be 18 and up.
