Get ready for Goblins & Giggles

Though it’s still not quite here yet, this isn’t the first time we’re talking about the fall season.

Gaylord Palms is gearing up for its annual Halloween event. Dubbed Goblins & Giggles, these getaway weekends are convenient for a staycation this fall — and it’s the only Halloween party where you can pack both your costume and your swimsuit.

Though it is a returning event, there is some new fun coming this year.

Guests can experience the all-new “Adventure Kids: A Spooky Celebration” interactive show, featuring Gaylord Palms characters Seth the Sea Turtle, Ava the Alligator and Adventure Kid leader Sophie. In this show, the characters explore Florida’s creepier flora and fauna — just in time for the spookiest time of the year.

Another new event, Ice-Scream! with Grimm the Goblin and Morgana. Honeybells Frozen Yogurt will be served, as guests mix and mingle with Spooksville’s own characters.

A couple of returning favorites: Spookley the Square Pumpkin and Storytime with Morgana. Listen to Spookley, a little gourd with a big message about anti-bullying, as he stars in the Halloween Hide & Seek Scavenger Hunt. And enjoy storytime with Morgana, where guests can hear the story of Spookley from the best-selling children’s book. Grimm will also make a special appearance.

You can’t forget your costume or your swimsuit!

The Monster Mash Bash Costume Contest will return, handing out prizes to the best costumes. Resident spooks Vladimir the Vampire, Morgana and Grimm will be there too.

Once the prizes are claimed, overnight guests of the resort can head down to Gaylord Palms’ Cypress Springs Water Park for the Wicked Awesome Pool Party, full of games and other interactive events.

The frightful fun doesn’t end there — there’s also the 30-minute long Pirate’s Treasure Escape Room, Spooky Animal Encounters on Saturdays, a Trick-or-Treat Expedition through the 4.5-acre atrium, and more.

The family-friendly events will begin Sept. 13 and run weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) through Nov. 3. Note: Some activities are open to the general public, whereas others are only open to hotel guests. Availability varies by date and time, and additional charges apply for certain activities.

Vacation (or staycation) packages start at $189 per night. Packages include accommodations, Monster Mash Bash tickets, the Trick or Treat Expedition, a Halloween Hide & Seek scavenger hunt activity book, Storytime with Morgana, and the poolside activities only available to overnight guests.
