The Lights on Jeater Bend holiday lights show is here just in time for Halloween.

The residents of Jeater Bend Drive in Celebration are hosting a Halloween show prior to the annual Christmas show.

Featuring 12 of the street’s homes, this light show twinkles and glows to some of the season’s spookiest and most nostalgic songs. Viewers can walk down the street to see the lights and hear the music, or drive by in their cars while tuned into FM radio station 88.1.

“It’s all Halloween-themed, but we don’t only play Halloween tunes,” said

Celebration resident Calvin Slater, who started the annual tradition with just his own home in 2011. “We mix it up with some nostalgia and rock-n-roll. Of course we keep the Disney aspect in there

with the classic Hallo Wishes song.”

While the Halloween show differs greatly from the Christmas show, it still provides some of the most-loved details previously seen on ABC’s “The Great Light Fight” home decorating contest, including lasers and projections. Slater and his neighbors become more and more creative each year, brainstorming ideas to produce a fabulous show.

“We try to add some new aspects every year,” said Slater. “It’s a lot of fun for us and for everyone who comes to see the lights.”

The Lights on Jeater Bend’s Halloween show is free and open to the public. It occurs nightly from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. through Oct. 31. The Christmas performance will begin Thanksgiving night and will run through the end of the year.

“We noticed that a lot of people, especially in Celebration, are looking for something to do with their families after they eat,” said Slater. “We love seeing everyone come out to enjoy our lights.”

This year’s Christmas show will include special appearances from Santa Claus as well as train rides down the road, on select nights. The Lights on Jeater Bend will accept donations for charity during its Christmas performance.
