Celebrate Three Kings Day at Vance Harmon Park Sunday

Come celebrate Three Kings Day on Sunday at 11 a.m. at Vance Harmon Park, 625 Country Club Drive.

This free event features live music, arts & craft vendors, games for children, an inflatable fun park, a clown show as well as presents from the Three Kings for children.


The Association of Poinciana Villages will host Family Night Bingo on Thursday at the Poinciana Community Center. Children ages 5 and up are invited to play and enjoy. The Poinciana Community Center is located at 445 Marigold Ave. There is no pre-registration required.


Start the New Year off right by partaking in some of the programs at the Poinciana Branch Library!

The first Family Fun Night of the year will be on Thursday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Enjoy board games, crafts as a family, Solve STEAM problems together or work on a puzzle while having snacks. Each week will be a new family adventure - Week 1- Board Games, Week 2 - Curious Creations, Week 3 - Bits and Pieces, Week 4 - STEAM Challenge and Week 5 - Masterpiece. Registration is required. “Moo” trition- A Four Part Series begins on Monday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. This Family Health and Fitness program is presented by the Florida Dairy Council. Learn about the nutritional value of milk by conducting science experiments and making healthy snacks. Every child who participates will receive their own Sunny Bell’s Florida Dairy Farm Adventure book to keep.

Edison Club: Simply Science takes place on Tuesday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Inventing, tinkering and science come together every week when kids get to explore different challenge stations. Create your own project, test a hypothesis or just play at this program which offers something for every inquisitive mind. This five-week program covers different themes. Week 1 - Gadgets, Gears and Gizmos, Week 2 - Simply Science, Week 3 - Idea Builders, Week 4 - Math Madness and Week 5 - Masterpiece Challenges.

Youth in grades kindergarten to fifth can join the Trading Card Game Club on Wednesday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Share, trade and battle with other enthusiasts. Bring a game to share or enjoy one of the library’s. Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh decks and in addition family-friendly games are available to play.

Adults and teens can join the Crafty Crew on Wednesday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. If you are looking for a present to make on St. Valentine’s Day the group will be making a wreath.

Orchid Growing 101 will explain how to best keep yours alive. This class will be held at the Poinciana Library on Tuesday, Jan. 15, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Advance registration is required. Call 321-697-3000.
