Lakeridge wine and chocolate fest is this weekend

Chocolate and wine unite once again at Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards this weekend for the Chocolate and Wine Festival. This is one of the winery’s special weekends where you can taste a variety of chocolates as well as wines especially paired for the event.

Event highlights will include The Chocolate Wonderland, an air conditioned tent featuring participating chocolatiers and their creations, as well as a wine bar.

The wine tasting will include a free sample of custom made chocolate at each wine station. The chocolates have been uniquely paired with each of the Lakeridge wines by the local chocolatiers.

In addition, there will be gift shopping for the holidays with more than 50 arts and crafts vendors. And there will be more gift ideas in the wine shop.

The Wine & Cheese Bar located upstairs in the wine shop will be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. during the festival. The Wine & Cheese bar features favorite Lakeridge wines by the glass plus a selection of beers, and of course, cheese.

There will be entertainment both outside and at the wine bar throughout the weekend.

The outdoor schedule includes The Ladyz & the Boyz Friday, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; Tory Wynter, Dec. 8 from 2 to 5 p.m.; Baby Blues & No Attitude Band, Dec.9, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Robert Harris, 2 to 5 p.m., also Dec. 9. The Sunday, Dec. 10 schedule includes Dave Capp at 11 a.m. and the Mike Quick Band at 2 p.m.

At the Wine & Cheese Bar, Bobby Keolble will perform at noon until 4 p.m. Friday. Jeff Whitfield takes the stage Saturday at noon and Joe Hand performs Sunday at noon.

Admission is $8 adults. Cash or credit cards are accepted at the main gate of the festival grounds on the days of the event. Tickets can be purchased in advance through When you get to the festival main gate just look for the sign for and Credit Card Line.

Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards will support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida by donating a portion of the gate proceeds to the organization.

As usual, there will be complimentary winery tours and tasting throughout the event.
