Old Town, the iconic shopping and entertainment complex in Kissimmee that has drawn millions of visitors to its brick streets to enjoy the turn of the century atmosphere and experience weekly classic car shows, was recently purchased by The Travel Corporation (TTC – www.thetravelcorporation.com).

The Travel Corporation whose brands include Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, Contiki Holidays, Red Carnation Hotels and Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, signed an agreement in April to purchase the 10–acre complex on U.S. Highway 192.

The Travel Corporation’s CEO Brett Tollman, whose family previously had partial ownership of Old Town, has a long history with the property.  Mr. Tollman and The Travel Corporation are passionately committed to re-energizing the center.

“We envision a new era for Old Town and its fine tenants that will solidify the property as one of central Florida’s ‘must see and must experience’ iconic attractions,” said Tollman.  “A strategic plan is being developed for the property that will include necessary renovations and improvements over the next twenty-four months. Guests will immediately notice the removal of the amusement rides on property as we make room for future expansions that will improve the overall guest experience. Adjacent land was recently purchased as well to provide for needed additional parking facilities.”

As part of the strategic plan for Old Town, The Travel Corporation has retained JLL’s retail group to manage and lease the asset.  JLL’s Senior Vice President John Lambert is leading the JLL Florida team on this project with Brandon Delanois heading up the leasing.  Lambert also has a long history with Old Town having visited the property with his family over the years.

“There is a new story and new vision for Old Town” Lambert said. “It’s a tremendous opportunity to be part of the positive change for this beloved regional landmark.”
