Sundance Institute announced today that actor, writer and director Joseph Gordon-Levitt will host the 2013 Sundance Film Festival feature film Awards Ceremony on January 26 in Park City, Utah and live-streamed at www.sundance.org/festival. The Festival takes place January 17-27 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah.

Okay, this absolutely has to be the app of the week.

MapMuse, which has a number of interesting applications, mostly for iPhone, has just released the ‘Breastaurants’ app, an application most definitely geared toward men.

The new app makes it easy for men to find that restaurant that offers more than just a steak or hamburger. Well they may still offer a steak or hamburger, but it is served up usually by a somewhat scantily -clad female.

For the third year, Central Florida students are invited to share their thoughts and dreams in an essay contest honoring the inspirational Tuskegee Airmen, the nation’s first African-American military aviators - and to compete for prize money. Students in grades 6-12 are eligible to enter the contest, themed “They Dared to Fly” in reference to the values that landed the Tuskegee Airmen in the history books - leadership, excellence, advocacy and determination. First place winners in each of two categories (grades 6-8 and 9-12) will take home $500; two second place winners each will receive $300.

Big changes are underway at the Kennedy Space Center.

The center has just unveiled the first phase of improvements designed to dramatically enhance the guest experience— a  brand new $16 million entry. The enhancements are part of a 10-year Master Plan developed by Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex concessioner, Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts, in partnership with NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.
