Harmony physical day

Harmony High will hold physical day for student athletes April 24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the gym.
The fee is $10. Forms will be provided on site.

Osceola rebounded from  its first loss of the season at Harmony by blanking Gateway, 10-0, in a 7A-5 district game Thursday.Morgan Crapo struck out six and pitched a complete five-inning game, while Jessica Callahan  and Kali Jones each had two hits.

Wow! Back to winter again!  I was out on the water Wednesday and it felt like it might start snowing.  Twenty-plus miles an hour wind certainly didn’t help.  The good news is that we still caught bass. The water temperature was 61 degrees.  Less than two weeks ago it was in the mid-70s.  Hopefully by the time you read this we will be back to more seasonal weather.

St. Cloud may end Harmony’s OBC reign

Harmony has won the past five Orange Belt Conference weightlifting championships, but that reign is in jeopardy as St. Cloud returns two of the top lifters in Class 2A after placing fifth at last year’s state meet.

The rest of the conference teams will likely be lifting for third place.

Defender helped Lady Horns to unprecedented soccer success

If Kendall Pollock was so inclined, she might have slightly tweaked former President Harry Truman’s iconic quote to: “The ball stops here.”
Pollock, a Harmony senior who played outside and middle defender for the Lady Longhorns stalwart soccer program, usually was the team’s last line of defense.
