The deluge of rain last week may have dampened a lot of plans, but it also lifted a burn ban in Osceola County.

Fire Chief Robert Sorenson announced the lift of the ban on Tuesday for all areas of Osceola County.

This ban has been in effect since January and restricted all types of outside burning, including open fire pits, campfires and yard debris.

Harmony's baseball team extended its season with a dramatic 5-4 win over rival Osceola Wednesday at the Mike Fields Complex in the 7A-2 regional semifinals, but the news was not so good for the Lady Longhorn softball team.
