Osceola boys water polo coach Trish Abell joked Tuesday that every time her team plays rival Gateway, it rains.

“If there is one tiny blip on the radar, I can tell you where it will be,” she said.

Gateway Coach Vonnie Kochensparger said that’s true.

“It happens every year,” she said.

Osceola junior has competed at state 3A dive meets twice

Divers are among the best athletes of any high school sport.

Their ability to twist, spin and somersault from a 1-meter diving board, while at the same time displaying a perfect technique, is a rare and unique talent.

Osceola High junior Jordan Parrish has it.
