St. Cloud Mayor Rebecca Borders presented three proclamations April 11 during a regular council meeting at City Hall.

The following classes are hosted by the University of Florida/Osceola County Extension Services office and are free unless stated otherwise.

If the early bird gets the worm, the early kid with a worm on a hook will catch a fish.

That’s what the annual Cornerstone Family Church Fish-A-Thon is about. Boys and girls ages 15 and under, accompanied by parent or guardian will be dropping a line in the church pond and pulling out fish.

The New York Artist Shop in downtown St. Cloud is hosting an artist reception Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. for the artist of the month, Sandra Scheetz Wise.

Take me out to the ball game. After you buy the peanuts, popcorn and Cracker Jacks, pick up a copy of a baseball mystery written by St. Cloud author Troy Soos.

The Mickey Rawlings series was released in hardcover editions several years ago and Soos said it has sold well enough that the publisher is bringing the six-book set out in trade paperback and e-book this spring.
