HarbridgeMargaretHARBRIDGE - Margaret J. Harbridge, 84 of Kissimmee, Florida passed away September 9, 2011. Born July 11, 1927 in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada and lived throughout Quebec before she met her husband Harvey at an RCAF military dance in Bagotville, Quebec during WWII.  They married in 1946 and would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this coming New Year’s Eve 2011.  

She received Jesus as her savior at a Billy Graham Crusade in Toronto, and loved to talk about Jesus.  She had a captivating smile and was an avid reader.  She was active in the family business, Harbridge and Cross and other ventures and subsequently retired in Florida.

She is predeceased by her son John (Cherie).  

She is survived by her husband Harvey and children; Jeanne Boyce (Ken), Peggy Dall (Jim), and Dan (Larae) and by her grandchildren, Melanie Hart, Amanda Weiss, Ross Harbridge, Peter West, David West, Matthew West and Hannah Harbridge, and 14 great-grandchildren.  

Visitation was held 5 – 9 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the funeral home. Graveside services were held 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 12, 2011 at Osceola Memory Gardens. Words of comfort may be left at www.Grissomfh.com.

KnowlesAlvinKNOWLES - Alvin Cassel Knowles (“Gooch”) 64, of St. Cloud, Florida passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2011, after a long illness, went to be with Our Lord & Savior. He was born in Vero Beach, Florida on August 16, 1947. Son of the late Joe and Mary Knowles.

He worked 37 years in communications, last company name was Century Link. Alvin served his Country both Army & Navy and was in the Vietnam War.

Ålvin is survived by his Loving Wife Peggy together for a wonderful 23 years. Daughter Nadine of Kissimmee, three sisters Ann Falagon of Kissimmee, Jean Monbarren of Tampa, Florida, Nancy Barton and husband Larry of Kissimmee. Brother Alton (˝Sweets”) Knowles and wife Beth of North Carolina, preceded in death by brothers Marshall, Bobby & Billy Knowles and numerous nieces and nephews.

ONealRubyO’NEAL - Ruby L. O’Neal, 81, of Kissimmee, Florida passed away September 4, 2011.

She is predeceased by her daughter Janice Bohannon and her Stepson Wayne Flanagan.

She is survived by Carl C. Flanagan her companion of 43 years and children; Larue McCurdy, Ronnie O’Neal, Donnie O’Neal, David Taylor, Ray Taylor, Joyce Atkins, Jackie Åtkins, Juanita Taylor, Cindy Pearman, Diane Godwin, Charlene Westmoreland, Theresa Strickland, Stepdaughters, Pat Gosnell, Shirley Flanagan, 35 Grandchildren, 49 Great-Grand kids, 21 Great-Great Grandkids.

Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery, Kissimmee, FL.

 

ParsonsStellaPARSONS - Stella Mae Parsons born on March 19,1931 in Knoxville, Tennessee, The only child of Hattie Mae and Luther Weaver. Stella graduated Knox high school and met Walter E. Parsons in 1948. They were married in 1950 and relocated to Florida in 1955 when Walter was offered a job at NASA in the beginning of the space program where Stella became an influential member of the NASA wives club.

Stella opened and operated the Beach Kindergarten in Indianatlantic, Florida. She was appointed the family and social editor of the Kissimmee Gazette in the 1970s . . Stella was a dedicated member of the Business and Professional Women’s  Club (BPW). She was named and recognized as the (BPW) Woman of the Year in 1978. Under her direction the (BPW) club published “The Bicentennial Cook Book” which included favorite recipes from the President of the United States and the Governor of every State. With the proceeds of the Bicentennial Cook book a Pioneer statue was paid for and erected where it stands today on the Osceola County Courthouse lawn in Kissimmee, Florida.
Stella created and printed in color, the Osceola County Community Telephone Directory including the yellow pages for the 1986-1987 and 1987-1988 Osceola County Telephone Directory. She owned and operated the fun and learning center in Kissimmee, Florida  from 1990-1993 expressing her love for children as always.   
Stella and her husband also owned and operated Walt Parsons Realty in downtown  Kissimmee for over 37 years. She also operated Parsons Bookkeeping and Tax Service from 1971-2009. Walter and Stella also owned and operate El Tonteria Mobile Home Court on Lake Toho in Kissimmee, FL.
Stella went to be with the Lord on 9-13-11. She was at home with loving family.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years Walter E. Parsons of Kissimmee.  She leaves behind six children, Michael (Dori), Greenville, TN, Jackson of New Orleans, LA, Terri (John) Parsons of Kissimmee, Cheryl Parsons Callahan of Kissimmee, Walter C. II (Kathryn) of Jacksonville, FL, Cindy (Wayne) Johnson of Huntsville, AL.  Thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, September 19 at Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Kissimmee.  Services and entombment will be held in Knoxville, Tennessee.

PerriAngeloPERRI  - Angelo Robert Perri, 81, of Davenport, FL  passed away on September 12, 2011, of respiratory failure, surrounded by his family. Angelo was born on April 29, 1930 to Thomas and Helen Perri in Greenwich, CT. Angelo was an antique wood refinisher for some 30 years in Greenwich and he loved his John Deere tractor.

He and his family moved to St. Cloud, FL in 1979 where he worked for Michigan Elementary School for 11 years. After his retirement they moved to Davenport, FL.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, of 62 years, Marcia Perri and is survived by his children, Angelo Perri, Nancy Walters, Jean Tchir, Joyce Adams and Doug Perri; and 10 grandchildren.

A visitation will be Saturday from 12-1 p.m. with a funeral to follow at 1 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823. Condolences may be sent via www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.

Angelo was always kind to everybody and always saw the good in everybody. He always gave what he could. He was a man who would always take time to talk, even when busy.
