After a hiatus of several years the Kissimmee-St. Cloud Senior Games returns to Osceola County with events scheduled today through Sept. 17.

Participants must be age 50 or older to compete in 23 events ranging from bridge to track and field. Venues from Celebration to St. Cloud will be utilized. Registration is closed.

Today’s competition includes archery at Heritage Park and a 5K cycling event at Lake Lizzie.

Other events scheduled this week include basketball shooting, beach volleyball, billiards, bowling, corn hole toss, table tennis, cribbage, tennis, pickle ball, shuffleboard, poker, swimming, punt pass & kick, maj johngg, horseshoes, race walk, 5K run, euchre and golf.

The event will conclude next Saturday at 5:30 p.m. with a Celebration of Athletes at Good Samaritan Village.

The top five in each event will qualify for the Florida Senior State Games at Polk County in December.

Athletes who missed the Kissimmee-St. Cloud games may still qualify for the state games at other competitions. For more information on the senior games, visit www.flasports.com.
