Bull Dawg baseball

The St. Cloud Bull Dawgs 8th grade feeder baseball team will hold tryouts today and Sept. 10 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the St. Cloud city field No. 4.

OHS homecoming

Osceola High School has scheduled a variety of activities for homecoming, Sept. 23, when it will play Celebration High at 7:30 p.m.

The homecoming parade is Sept. 22 at 5 p.m. starting in downtown Kissimmee and continuing to the high school on Thacker Avenue, where a barbecue dinner will be offered for $5.

A tailgate party or corn hole tournament ($20 adult teams/$10 students) will begin at 6 p.m., prior to the junior varsity football game against Poinciana at 6:30 p.m.

On Sept. 24, the Kickin’ Kowboy 5K run/walk begins at 7:30 a.m. at the football stadium, off Patrick Street. Cost is $10 in advance; $5 for the kids’ run at 7:15 a.m. Registration must be completed by 7 a.m.

The Homecoming Golf Classic at Kissimmee Golf Club begins Sept. 24 at noon. The fee is $50 per person. Hole sponsorships are available. Entry forms are available at the high school. For more information, send email to birdj@osceola.k12.fl.us.

Family golf festival

Falcon’s Fire Golf Club will host its second annual Family Golf Festival Oct. 15.

The Marriott International Family Golf Festival, which encourages parents and children to learn and play the game together, invites families to Falcon’s Fire Golf Club for an afternoon of free golf clinics on driving, irons, chipping, putting and sand play.

Contests and chances to win free rounds of golf will also be featured.

Additionally, adults can enjoy a special golf rate of $49, while kids can golf for free all day with a paying adult as part of the Kids Golf-4-Free initiative. For more information, contact the golf shop at 407-239-5445.

SC Aquatic Team

The St. Cloud Aquatic Team, a U.S.  Swimming affiliate, welcomes swimmers ages 5-and-over who have experience swimming the length of the pool with a crawl stroke.

All swimmers will participate in a training program focused on technique, endurance and speed.

Water polo, diving

Youth ages 8-18 may join Toho Water Polo or Dive Osceola offered at the Makinson Aquatic Center in association with the Kissimmee Parks and Recreation Department.

No experience is necessary, but students must demonstrate swimming ability.
