The 10th annual Fall Festival in Solivita will be Saturday, Oct. 22; from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Artisans and craft venders will showcase their wares, just in time for the 2011 holiday season.
The fall festival will be inside Solivita. Food and beverages will be sold. Face-painting and balloons will charm this fall extravaganza. Vendor space may still be available. For more information, contact Solivita Lifestyles by calling 863-427-7125.

The Poinciana Veterans Club will honor the fallen heroes at a ceremony Sunday, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. This small ceremony will be at the Poinciana Veterans Memorial in front of the Association of Poinciana Villages administrative offices, 401 Walnut St. All fire, emergency services and law enforcement officers have been invited to honor their fallen brethren. Community members also are welcome to come pay tribute on this Patriot’s Day.

Poinciana Economic Development Alliance (PEDA) is a group interested in helping those who would like an opportunity for employment in jobs that will soon be available. The group is holding an information session called “Are You Ready?” Thursday, Sept.  22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Poinciana Community Center, 395 Marigold Ave.
This is more than a job fair. This is a chance to see what is coming and prepare. Work Force Osceola and Work Force Polk will have information tables during this event, as will TECO and Manhattan Kraft. Manhattan Kraft is currently constructing the parking garage in downtown Kissimmee and will bring together phase 3 of the expansion at Poinciana Boulevard. Manhattan Kraft is one of the largest construction companies in Florida. Having this group’s participation, as well as sponsorship of this event, makes it all the more “job-seeker” important.
PEDA is determined to bring all things good to Poinciana. It is hard not to notice the high foreclosure rates in the community. For that reason, the group asked SunStar Realty to be a part of the Sept. 22 event. SunStar has a program called ultra processing. This is a four-step program. The first is pre-foreclosure guidance, short sale assistance, rental/ relocation program and credit restoration. SunStar has trained loss mitigation specialists that can help avoid foreclosure and protect your credit. This service is free to all homeowners.
