St. Cloud Aquatic Team members Randy Dunton, Brandon Graeber, Stephen Steele and Samuel Steele placed second in the mens 400 meters medley relay at the Sunshine State Games in Alachua County in June.
They earned a berth at the State Games of America in San Diego next month.
The State Games competition will be held at the University of California San Diego Canyonview Pool West Aug. 5-7.
The four swimmers also excelled in high school competitions for Harmony and St. Cloud and reached the state meet.
Graeber placed fourth in the 100 meters breaststroke and Stephen Steele was sixth.
SCAT’s Andrews Vega placed fourth in the 100 breaststroke, fifth in the 50 freestyle, sixth in the 50 breaststroke, seventh in the 100 freestyle and eighth in the 200 freestyle at the Sunshine State Games.
The girls age 11-12 medley and freestyle relay teams placed seventh with Natalia Gutierrez, Ava Piana, Selma Squafi and Savannah Steele.
Also competing for SCAT were Melissa Carr, Samantha Deason, Skylar Durost, Lance Kime, Kaley Smith, Juliya Watson and Joshua Yi.
