It’s all-star tournament time for Central Florida Little League baseball and softball players.

The District 3 tournaments for teams from Kissimmee, St. Cloud, Celebration. Buenaventura Lakes, Conway, Pine Castle and South Orange begin Friday at 6 p.m. the South Orange complex.

Other first-round games will begin Saturday.

Many of the tournaments will continue through July 13.

Winners from the juniors, majors and minors all-star tournaments advance to the sectionals at St. Cloud starting July 15.

Teams from there can advance to state, regional and national tournaments in July and August.

St. Cloud won the Big League District 3 championship last weekend and begins sectional play this week.

Manager Danny Cabellero and coaches Mike Coomer and Jim Phillips led the St. Cloud Big League All-Stars to the district championship.

The team members are Jeremy Phillips, Kody Coomer, Christopher Niederhaus, C.J. Clayton, Trey Bartlett, Angel Otero, Joel Robles, Jose Nunez, Eric Marquez, Edgar Velez, Cameron Hindle, Danny Cabellero Jr. and Christian Cabellero.

Among the first round games, the Celebration age 11 baseball team meets Kissimmee National Friday at 8 p.m.; Celebration’s age 11-12 baseball team meets Conway Saturday at 1 p.m. and St. Cloud’s age 13 baseball team plays Celebration Friday at 6 p.m.
