The National Professional Fastpitch Diamonds will host the Akron Racers today at 5 p.m. for a double header at the Fortune Road Athletic Complex.

The teams will conclude the four-game series, which began Friday, Sunday at 6 p.m.

The Diamonds feature former Spruce Creek High and University of Alabama pitcher Kelsi Dunne. Dunne made several appearances at the Kissimmee Klassic high school softball tournament while she played at Spruce Creek.

The Diamonds moved to Kissimmee from Tennessee this season.

Players sign autographs following each game, except for the first game of today’s double header.

The Diamonds (3-1) won three of their first four games last weekend at Akron and were in first place in the NPF standings.

The USSSA Pride split a four-game series against Chicago last weekend. The Pride’s Cat Osterman outdueled Chicago’s Monica Abbott, 3-2, in 10 innings at ESPN Wide World of Sports Saturday in a game broadcast live on ESPN2. The teams play at Chicago through Sunday.
