Goldstar Suspect

Osceola County Sheriff's Office detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying an armed robbery suspect who robbed the Goldstar Inn Sunday at about 10:48 p.m.

Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the motel, at 4600 W. U.S. Highway 192, Kissimmee, where they spoke with the employee who indicated she opened the door to let a white male enter the motel. He asked her several questions about renting a room and he left because he said he left his identification in his vehicle. A few minutes later, she let him back in the motel and he approached the counter. She thought he was getting his identification out of his wallet, but instead pointed a handgun at her and demanded money.

The suspect, according to the Sheriff's Office, then left the motel on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. A perimeter was set up, but patrol with the assistance of aviation and K-9 Units were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall wearing blue jeans with orange stitching on the pockets and a bright green shirt. He might also have a tattoo on the inside of his right arm.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477). Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000.
