The New York Artist Shop will host an artist reception Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. for Shawn Marie Feliciano.
Feliciano’s art education began in Italy at the Florence Academy of Art, according to shop officials. From 2002 through 2004, he focused on classical realism in drawing and painting, and encompassing the ideal that “the study of the old masters is the best foundation for great painting.”
His philosophy on art, shop officials said, parallels that of the classical-realist tradition, which is rooted in the Renaissance, and revived in the 19th century.
The evening’s music will be performed by local award-winning artist and musician Eduardo Correa, a student of Osceola County School of The Arts.
The New York Artists Shop, 1124 New York Ave., St. Cloud, hosts a free-featured artist reception on the third Friday of every month. Residents can shop and browse through a unique and eclectic display of artwork offered by many different local artists while enjoying good conversation and pleasant atmosphere. Light refreshments will be served.
