The Center Children’s Theatre will present “Welcome to the Jungle” in the Osceola Center for the Arts Studio Theatre Saturday and Sunday.

The mini-musical is told through script and song and includes the musical numbers “Welcome to the Jungle,” “The Mane Man,” “Danger” and “Making a Friend.”

Written by Andy Beck and Brian Fisher, “Welcome to the Jungle” is based on Aesop’s fable “The Lion & the Mouse.” The show will be performed by young actors ages 4 to 7 years old who are involved with the Center Children’s Theatre and who have been rehearsing at the center for more than eight weeks. The show is directed by Stephanie Day and Jennifer Henderson.

Showtimes are Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and can be purchased in person at the center or by calling 407-846-6257, Ext. 0. Tickets also are available online at www.ocfta.com.

The live animal show, “Wild Wonders of the World,” will immediately follow “Welcome to the Jungle” on Sunday at 3 p.m. on the center’s Main Stage. Joel Slaven’s professional animals will be presented, including a baby kangaroo, an Asian bearcat, a lemur and more. Tickets are $10 or $5 with proof of a “Welcome to the Jungle” ticket.

The Osceola Center for the Arts is at 2411 E. U.S. Highway 192 between Kissimmee and St. Cloud. For directions and more information, visit www.ocfta.com.
