Liberty defended its Orange Belt Conference boys track championship Thursday, and the host St. Cloud Lady Bulldogs won for the first time since 2006 at Gannarelli Field.

The Chargers (149) edged Celebration (138.5) for the boys title despite a sterling effort from the Storm's Tyler Osorio, who won three individual championships (long jump, 400 meters and 100 meters) and anchored the winning 4 x 400 relay team. Osorio signed a track scholarship to the University of Florida Monday.

Liberty won only the pole vault with Guelmi Salgado (12-0), but the Chargers placed second or third in most events.

After Celebration came Osceola (98), Harmony (90), St. Cloud (82), Gateway (49.5) and Poinciana (47).

The St. Cloud girls (167) used their depth in the distance events to separate themselves from Osceola (146.5), Liberty (127), Harmony (81), Gateway (62), Celebration (37) and Poinciana (31.5).

Ashlyn Stadtlander (3,200 and 1,600 meters) led the Lady Bulldogs. Anaya Reid (800 meters) and the 4 x 800 relay also posted wins.

Osceola state champion Tynia Gaither won the 100 and 200 meters sprints. Liberty's Kelila Naules won the long jump and  high jump.
