The St. Cloud Greater Osceola Chamber of Commerce offered an opportunity this year for girls of high school age to participate in the 2011 Miss St. Cloud Program.
The winner, Kayla DeCoff, of St. Cloud High School, was announced recently during the St. Cloud Life Business Expo. DeCoff was sponsored by A-A/C Go Green. She was given a $250 cash scholarship, crown, banner and trophy.
The Miss St. Cloud Program offers young ladies a unique community format where they may meet local business owners, elected officials and community members; attend Chamber Business After Hours; make community appearances and learn networking skills.
Participants are interviewed then selected by a panel of chamber members and directors. Miss St. Cloud is chosen based on her interview communication skills, professionalism and polished appearance.
The Miss St. Cloud 2011 pageant was sponsored by the chamber with local St Cloud businesses: A-A/C Go Green, Mary Kay Cosmetics – Deanna Roberts, Rhapsody Baton and Dance and Total Destination Travel.
Contact the chamber for information on the 2012 Miss St. Cloud program, scheduled to be in January 2012.
