Lynx, in collaboration with Osceola County and the city of Kissimmee, will unveil its new Osceola Satellite Facility at the Kissimmee Central Services Complex, 100 N. Alaska Ave., Tuesday at 10 a.m.

The partnership between the three entities will allow Lynx buses that service Osceola County to travel 1,500 miles less per day, according to Matt Friedman, Lynx spokesperson. The facility, which officially opens in April, also will provide a local destination for the buses to be fueled up, washed and operated, a cost-saving measure for the agency.

Osceola County Commission Chairman and Lynx board member Brandon Arrington helped create the initiative that established the Osceola operations center. The facility will house 37 buses and 70 Lynx employees.
