The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for the arrest of Kenneth Edward Winne for his alleged involvement in the armed robbery of the Chase Bank in Buenaventura Lakes Tuesday about 4 p.m. Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the Chase Bank, 1004 Buenaventura Lakes Blvd., where a bank teller told them a man walked into the bank and handed her a note demanding money. The suspect, the teller told authorities, also implied he had a weapon. The man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect was described as a white male in his mid-40s, approximately 5-feet-10 and weighing between 170 and 180 pounds. Police were told he had a white goatee and blonde hair and was wearing a denim jacket, shirt, jeans and a camouflage baseball cap.
According to Twis Lizasuain, spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office, detectives received a tip that an individual recognized Winne’s photo from the news coverage. On Thursday morning, detectives obtained a warrant for Winne’s arrest and forwarded that information to the Apopka Police Department after receiving information he was in that area.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477). Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000.
